Unless we’re talking about really abysmal ones that really flop at the start, which obviously happens a lot, but in terms of live service games that enjoy some degree of success (it doesn’t even have to be massive), it’s the norm. While D3 is not unique, passing the 10 year milestone is an achievement that is not from my experience “average.”įor good live service games (that is, games that release as a live service and obtain success in that business model, not the ones that flop), it’s the norm.
